Saturday, October 13th will go down in history as one of the coolest days ever! We got to cruise around the Chesapeak Bay aboard the USS George Washington, watch an amazing mid-ocean air show and I even got to meet George. Although it was a long day, the pictures don’t do it justice!

This past weekend was Easter. We didn’t do much of the religious thing, but we certainly did a lot of the family thing.
On Saturday, my uncle and his family came over for lunch…cooked from scratch! and I was surprised to be able to accomodate so many people. Then we went shopping, and I managed to spend all my money, once again!!
I added a new plant, new outdoor rug, new ice cream bowls and new digital camera to my life. Can’t complaint! Can’t really go out for the next three months, either. :(

Sunday, we spent the day with the Davis family. The Easter Bunny managed to hide what seemed like 400 eggs, we ate more candy than we knew what to do with, and even Charlie got in on the painting of the eggs…or at least I’m surprised she didn’t get painted herself!!
All in all, quite a Sunday!

Thomas went to the beach for Spring Break this year. I can’t believe how huge he is… and how handsome he’s turning out to be! I’m so jealous I had to be at work while they played in Savannah and Tybee, and I’m upset I’m missing this time with him.

But that’s all changing, and the next time they go anywhere… rain or shine, I’m there, too.

Welcome home, Zizi!

Halloween 2005

Halloween 2005 was a spooky family day. The Saturday before Halloween, Juan Andres, Sandra and Paloma came to the Methodist church with us for their Fall festival. There were games, candy, and lots of little kids in costumes.

On Halloween day, the Robledo family came to Wild Timber for their Fright Fest extravaganza and joined Thomas, the Davis family, and myself in trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. At the end of the night, the kids ended up exhausted and we ended up holding all the candy and half the children’s costumes.

The Robledo-Arismendi Wedding

Juan Andres and Sandra married May 22, 2004. The beautiful ceremony was held at The Cathedral of Saint Phillip and was attended by family and friends from both Colombia and the US.
During the ceremony, Paloma, their daughter, served as the flower girl and looked almost as stunning as her mother. After the ring exchange, Juan also presented Paloma with a Cross pendant as his committment, not only to Sandra, but to her as well.

The reception was held at Brio, an Italian restaurant in North Atlanta. I was the “proud” winner of the bride’s bouquet; which almost sent my date running and embarrased me to no end.

Their honeymoon was spent in the island of Vieques in the Caribbean. Where they enjoyed the prisine beaches and bioluminescent bays.
